Tim Tebow: Do You Believe

December 15, 2011

As a youth sports coach, father and mentor, it’s hard not to be inspired by athletes that possess much more than just physical talents. Today I came across a quote from one of my favorite football players that embodies what many of us should be applying to other areas of our lives. After leading the Denver Broncos to yet another 4th quarter comeback against what appeared to be impossible odds, Tim Tebow said, “If you believe, then unbelievable things can sometimes be possible”. Let’s think about this for a second, “If you believe”. Do you believe in yourself? Do you believe in your coach or your mentor? Do you believe in your team, or those around you? Well… do you?

Do you believe so much in what you are trying to accomplish that “unbelievable things can be possible”? Do you believe enough to create that sense of urgency you need to change your life once and for all? If you don’t, then you need to!

That same sense of urgency that Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos can conjure up, based on their belief, is the same sense of urgency you need to create to change how you eat, be proactive about exercise, and remain unwavering in the choices you make and the actions that you take. Some call it an “A-Ha” moment or a moment of “Clarity”. No matter how you label it, it’s simply a sense of urgency.

Take a second and think about a few things:

  • Why do I make such poor eating choices?
  • Why am I so over weight?
  • Why do I sit on the couch?
  • Why don’t I exercise?
  • Why have I tried and failed so often?

It’s probably a lack of urgency. But if you take a second to be real honest with yourself, you can create that sense of urgency by realizing what you are giving up. What would losing weight, shedding body fat and regaining energy and a sense of well being mean to your life?

  • Your health
  • Your loved ones
  • Your self confidence
  • Your physical abilities
  • Your mindset
  • Your life

I bet it would change just about every area of your life if you made permanent and lasting changes that would give you back your health, your body and your well being. Next time you choose to sit on the couch eating a bag of chips, with a pizza, candy bars and a 1 liter soda waiting to be devoured next, what will you do?

It’s time to make a change. It’s time to improve the quality of your life. It’s time to take action. You deserve it, you are worth it and you can achieve it… If only you Believe!

Wide Receiver Tips

September 1, 2011
Wide Receiver Points: 9 out 10 high school WR's simply allow the DB to make plays just off of defensive alignment alone. The WR must know how to stem and place the DB where he wants him at the time of the catch, this will come from studying film and on the field work! If you look at the top high school WR's in the country all they do are deep routs and play mulitple position's, does that make you #1? If you look closely, they are very unpolished and lack great positional technique. 1 move at ...
